RF signal: intro

Recently I've been researching more about SDRs to analyze RF signals, which are fun to listen to, but I find I'm more interested in the source of RF than the content of transmissions. Through this exploration of creating new models to show how the world appears in frequencies, I had another idea -- what if I can design a radio telescope instead of an RF receiver to take sound measurements of the sky, using data from far away signals? This project is still under development, and I am working on building a prototype that will be able to take capture these distant frequencies, beginning with possible fast radio burst detection.
